The next installment in the contemporary artists covering classic songs series that brought us Pallett doing Pollard on “Game Of Pricks” — which by the way, was later Rainn Wilson-approved (“Thank you internet. Here’s a dude covering Guided By Voices beautifully on violin.“) — comes via the Antlers, taking on everyone’s first song on guitar. The concept behind the A.V. Club‘s project is that they’ve preselected songs and artists come in week at a time to choose off the ever-dwindling list, and at this point the list is half-done, but “Wish You Were Here” is just a shade removed from Hospice’s mourn and moan, so it makes for fair Antlers fodder.
