R.E.M. Do Not Plan to Tour Behind New Album

R.E.M. do not plan to tour behind their new album, Collapse Into Now, which arrives March 8 via Warner Bros. Bertis Downs, the band’s manager, tells the Athens, Georgia Music & Arts Tumblr (via Slicing Up Eyeballs) that the band simply doesn’t tour behind every album, and this time they’re staying home. Pitchfork has confirmed that the band does not plan to schedule any shows at this time. Here’s hoping all you R.E.M. fans got to hear the songs you wanted to hear when the band was touring behind 2008’s Accelerate.UvqwZ5w8_Uk
