As anyone that’s helped hold up Wayne Coyne’s ball can tell you, there’s little to differentiate between Flaming Lips live experiences these days. So, when Edward Sharpe and a bunch of crowd members joined along in singing “Do you realize that everyone you know someday will die?” in a graveyard at 6AM yesterday morning, that was not only an uncommonly poignant pairing of lyric and performance space, but a flat out uncommon moment with the Lips.
