Arrests Made in Sony/PIAS Warehouse Fire

London 24 reports (via NME) that three teenagers have been arrested over the fire that burned down a Sony/PIAS distribution warehouse in London on Tuesday morning. The two 18-year-olds are still in custody, while the 17-year-old was bailed out; all three were held in connection with violent disorder and arson.

The BBC reports that Sony says that 1.5 million CDs were destroyed in the fire. That stock is currently being replenished elsewhere in the UK, as well as Austria. PIAS has issued a statement announcing the establishment of a fund to aid the stricken labels, in conjunction with the UK’s Association of Independent Music:FyyKZwQkEKM
