KID ROCK ANNOUCES EXTENSIVE CANADIAN TOUR

Detroit rocker brings earth-shattering show to ten cities in two weeks in May

For immediate release

Top Dog / Atlantic Records artist KID ROCK is set to come to Canada with his hard rocking Twisted Brown Trucker Band for an extensive tour in support of his gold album, Born Free. The Canadian tour, which begins May 17th at Vancouver’s Rogers arena, comes hot on the heels of the Detroit rockers SRO tour of the U.S.

The past few months since Born Free’s release in November 2010 have been incredibly hectic for Kid Rock. He initially introduced the album to the world with a series of incendiary television appearances at the European Music awards, the Country Music Association awards and the American Music Awards. He then kicked off his North American tour by throwing a 40th birthday party for himself at Detroit’s Ford Field for 60,000 of his closest friends.

Born Free is a watershed recording for Kid Rock. The album is his ninth and marks a stylistic shift from the overt bravado of the self-professed American Badass to more mature songwriting that showcases many more of Rock’s talents as both a writer and a singer. The album, produced by Rick Rubin, features appearances by Martina McBride, T.I., Bob Segar, Trace Adkins, Zac Brown and Sheryl Crow.

Kid Rock has proven that there are no boundaries to his music. Over the course of his career he has conquered the musical world like no other artist topping the charts in genres as far flung as hip hop, rock, pop and country. His live shows have become legendary and the Born Free tour promises more of what fans have come to expect and respect of Kid Rock.
